Error (COR-10126) after upgrade

We have recently upgraded our Business Objects

server. This is a Windows 2008 64-bit server.

 

--Previous Versions--

Business Objects Platform Services: 4.0 SP2 Patch23

Business Objects Data Services: 4.0 SP2 Patch8

Business Objects Information Steward: 4.0 SP2 Patch5

Business Objects DQM RFC Server / Components: 4.0 SP2

 

--Current Versions--

Business Objects Platform Services: 4.1 SP2

Business Objects Data Services: 4.2 SP1

Business Objects Information Steward 4.2 SP1

Business Objects DQM RFC Server / Components: 4.0 SP4

 

After the upgrade we are no longer able to access Information Steward. When attempting to log into Information Steward we receive the following error:

 

"Cannot connect to the Information Steward repository. (COR-10126)"


Additionally, when attempting to configure the Information Steward repository from the Central Management Console we are now receiving an error which was not received before the upgrade.


"Unexpected error when processing request for service. Contact your administrator. (COR-10868) (COR-10869)"


The Information Steward log gives the following error:


[E] 2014-02-27 11:31:35.474 [Administrator][http-bio-8080-exec-7] Cannot connect to the Information Steward repository. (COR-10126)

[E] 2014-02-27 11:31:35.474 [Administrator][http-bio-8080-exec-7] com.bobj.mm.sdk.SDKException: Cannot connect to the Information Steward repository. (COR-10126)


Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this might be occurring as a result of upgrading the software, and how I can fix it?

Error while running profiling in Information Steward

I followed the steps in the scn (http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/10538fce-4b42-2e10-0fb1-a2146dc20943&overridelayout=true) to setup profile but encountered the following error while trying to execute it:

 

"A system error occurred. Contact the administrator if the error persists (UIM-10142). "

 

We tried checking on the "Download Log File" button but it generates message saying "Log file is not available".

 

We tried checking in directory "E:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\logging" but couldn't find any related error.

 

Could you please help to provide recommendations and approach to resolve this problem?

Where are my scores

Hi All, I have a fully working IS4.2 project, rules, tasks, bindings and tasks.

 

They all run fine and are successful.

 

Here's the issue:

 

I dont see any scores in my Rules Screen, or Scorecard.

 

I on ly see scores in my Workspace Home screen.

 

I need some guidance as to what could have gone wrong.

Metapedia Import and Export

When doing a new data dictionary you usually use spreadsheets and the like. Once completed and consolidated into one spreadsheet you want to then load it into Metapedia.

 

I have created custom columns on metapedia to match the spreadsheet columns, and when exporting the custome attributes are exported as well.

 

The problem is that the metapedia only imports the standard columns (NAME, CATEGORIES, DESCRIPTION, KEYWORDS, SYNONYMS, AUTHOR, STATUS, RELATED TERMS) all other columns are ignored.

 

Does anyone know of a way to import the custom attributes?

Information Steward regards a View as a DB connection

Hello Experts,

 

I have found an issue where when I create a view, Information Steward categorizes it as a database connection. I have re-imported a project and have re-created views, but it still happens.

 

Has any one encountered this issue?

 

I am using Information Steward 4.1 (14.1.1.220).

Issues with RDS: SAP standard tables dimension does not match

The installation of the SAP RDS IS CONTENT V2 is giving me some unexpected errors when I try to import standard tables to the information steward's environment... The RDS is somewhat recent (may/2014).

 

Following the instructions of the installation guide, plenty of skipped objects occur... I have these prints of what I get:

I set the options to overwrite the tables which I had imported previously...

for instance the log on all rules go like this:

Attempting to create rule:  ZB_G14_CUST_InvoicingDateReference ...

Object of type Rule named ZB_G14_CUST_InvoicingDateReference already exists. (COR-10551)

Failed to import Rule ZB_G14_CUST_InvoicingDateReference. Skipping import of this rule. (UIM-10055)

I think the source of these problems comes from the tables imported. I can view the data in some of the tables, however, there are still some which are not imported correctly. In particular it seems that there are conflict with metadata,ie, missing fields,...

Even if I import the tables by name, the views are not visible(again because there might be issues with metadata) and most of the rules get skipped...

This happens even when I import all of the tables involved in the view.

When I click on the view data button I get:

I think I have set the proper connection to the source system.

 

Can you think of anything which might be causing these issues? If you need any further clarification please ask.

ERROR IN CONNECTING TO INFORMATION STEWARD

Dear All

 

We are facing the issue in Information Steward login.It gives the error saying cannot connect to repository.While I am able to login to repository through oracle.This issue happens suddenly,it was working fine 2 days befor.All the server are running fine.Here attaching the screen shot of the error.Please find the details of the server and tool:-\

Email notifications in IS

Hi all,

 

Has anyone successfully configured IS to send notifications on term/ rule approval?

 

In IS 4.2 SP2, I set up the users with email accounts, configured the job server, and enabled emails in Manage > Preferences and still cannot get it working.

 

The only information I have seen relates to DS and fixing a port, but this may not be the correct configuration point that will enable email to work.

 

The IS Job Server mentions "Neither Message Broker, Adapter Manager, nor SNMP MB Server started."

Hi Experts,

 

I would like to Know how to retrive the folders & reports which are using source as Universe. I'm using the below SQL but it is retreving SI information. But requirement to retrive the Physical folder Name : E.g; E-fashion/Units/Kiran

 

SELECT

si_id,

si_name,

si_webi,

si_cuid

FROM

CI_AppObjects

WHERE

si_name = 'UNIVERSE_NAME' AND

si_kind = 'Universe'

IS Rules with text substrings searches

We are using IS 4.1 and are trying to implement rules that scan text to find certain words. If those words exist, then we can mark the data as failing.

There are no contains or like functions in the string rules within the advanced editor. Also regular expression substrings are not supported in 4.1.

 

How have others solved this?

Quantative scores in scorecard instead of relative?

We're looking for a method to report on quantative scores (number of records failed) rather than a relative score (number of failed vs total number of records).  How can this be achieved?

Auto approval of Business Rules in Information Steward

Hi Team,

 

I have 100+ business rules to be approved in Information Steward. The number is huge. Is there anyway I can approve all of them in one single go? Otherwise, I will have to open each rule in the Rule Editor and approve it manually. Any sdk script or anything that can be of any help to me?

Quality Dimension cannot have more than 100 rules

I'm getting an error arrow in my quality dimension that says "Quality Dimension cannot have more than 100 rules".  However there are only 89 rules in the quality dimension, so I'm not sure why I'm getting that error?  The scorecard in Scorecard mode generates without issue, but the error displays in Workspace mode.

 

Has anyone added more than 100 rules to a Quality Dimension.  What happens?  That limitation seems sort of low.

 

This is on IS 14.2.3.514.

Information Steward and OS support

Hi

 

Not sure if this is a right place where to post that type of questions, but at least i will try. As all we know SAP IS  is fully certified on all well known OS, but for example Metadata management is not certified in Linux for some reason. I wanted to know will SAP change this in future ? Few of our customers are using only Linux boxes and therefore we can not implement SAP IS normally there.

Error in Information Steward link on CMC (SBOP BI 4.1 sp5 & SBO EIM 4.2 sp3)

Hi all,

I'm having problem with my BusinessObjects System.

I've correctly installed :

  • Sap Business Objects Business Intelligence 4.1 sp5
  • Sap Dataservices 4.2 sp3
  • Sap Information Steward 4.2 sp3

Everything works fine, but I'm unable to access to the Information steward areas (as on screenshot).

I've just tray to recreate the Tomcat\..\Localhost folder but with no result.

I attached the error of the page and the Tomcat\Log.

Can anyone help me?

Problem establishing connection to information steward (COR-10868)

I've recently installed information steward 4.2 sp2, but whenever I log in I get the below mentioned error:

 

Unexpected error when processing request for service. Contact your administrator. (COR-10868)

 

I'm using the below environment:

 

BO server: 4.1 SP1

BODS: 4.2 SP2

BOIS: 4.2 SP2

DATABASE: MS SQLSERVER 2012

 

The log file gives the below error:

 

[E] 2014-12-26 20:25:42.317 [ApplicationService][Transport:Shared-41/34] com.sap.is.InformationStewardException: Unexpected error when processing request for service. Contact your administrator. (COR-10868)

 

Can anyone help me to know why this error is coming and how to fix it?

IS 4.1 installation error

Hello all,

 

I am facing issue while installing IS 4.1 on my local machine. Not sure what is causing this issue. Kindly have a look and see if anyone of you have come across such issue before and have solution for it. Appreciate any help.

 

Below is the screen where installation getting stuck and not proceeding further.
